There was another bright spot in Bath on the night the Christmas lights were turned on, when Felix Lighting Specialists launched its wonderful new designer lighting shop.
The exclusive opening, which took place in the new premises in Bartlett Street is the brain child of designer Gary May, who is the head of this unique lighting design agency. Gary is an architect and lighting designer who restores and creates new lighting pieces, for many hotels and private houses, and his talent was definitely on display at the launch with several pieces of his work adorning the beautifully lit spaces.
The design centre was named after Gary’s young son Felix, who along with Gary’s partner Victoria was also on hand to launch the new agency on Thursday night.
Gary said: “Victoria and I were thrilled that so many people came along to the launch and that there has been so much interest from both local people and those further afield. Lighting is so important and can completely make or break a room. Bath has some amazing buildings and it’s wonderful to be able to create new lighting pieces to further enhance them”.
Felix Lighting Specialists was also paid a visit by top lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe when he was in town recently as he had heard of Gary’s work and wanted to see for himself.
