FAB! Press Releases » MAJOR SPONSOR ANNOUNCED FOR CHARITY BALL

Guests in the Pump Room were treated to a glass of wine with ‘Lady Margaret’ this evening, when she came along to draw the winning name out of the hat for Bath & North East Somerset’s annual charity ball on the 1st April.

Lady Margaret - alter ego of the Natural Theatre Company’s Artistic Director Ralph Oswick - is a noble citizen of Bath, supporter of the arts and ambassador of all things fine and British. She has graced many a British Embassy function throughout the world, so she was the perfect choice to handle such a prestigious draw!

Potential sponsors had been asked to put just £150 into the sponsorship hat, the winner of which is now the major sponsor of the Raising a Laugh for Charity Ball 2011.

Lady Margaret pulled the winning name from the hat and was delighted to announce that Grant Associates was the winning company.  The company, based in Bath, is a Landscape Architecture consultancy specialising in the creative design of both urban and rural environments and has been working across Bath for some time.

Andrew Grant who is the Managing Director for the company said: We are surprised and delighted to have won this opportunity and accept it with a very big grin and in the knowledge that this is all in very good cause”.

The event at the Roman Baths and Pump Room will be a torch lit reception, followed by dinner, with entertainment throughout the evening, a raffle and auction.  The theme is ‘Comedy’ and it coincides with the start of the Bath Comedy Festival beginning on the 1st April – All Fools Day!!

The event, organised by local event company FAB! on behalf of the Council, will raise funds for two local charities – the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal United Hospital – Space to Grow’ campaign and our local Quartet Community Foundation, who give so many grants out to local charities.

Tickets for the annual event are only £60 and are already selling well.  All enquiries about further sponsorship, the charities, event and tickets, please contact FAB! on 08444 154 880 or by e-mail on info@fab-1.org.uk
